This cluster comprised 260 genes that were found to be similarly regulated in all seven tissues of the common carp, and the genes listed here are the ones with the greatest fold-change values. Genes were characterised by single pass sequence run from the 5′ end of the cloned fragment, followed by BLAST identification against a range of external sequence databases. These gene identities thus represent the closest match in the existing sequence databases rather than an exact homology.
