All genotypes were confirmed by PCR. For all stages the expected percentage of +/+, TC/+ and TC/TC conceptuses was 25%, 50% and 25%, respectively. Where possible (from ∼10.5-13.5 dpc),resorbing conceptuses were genotyped. Death of the conceptus was defined as absence of heart beat.
One TC/+ conceptus was dead and resorbing; all other dead, resorbing conceptuses were TC/TC.
Two TC/+ conceptuses were dead and resorbing;all other dead, resorbing conceptuses were TC/TC.
