Cover: A harbor seal (Phoca vitulina) at the Marine Science Center Rostock. Harbor seals, semiaquatic mammals, are able to perform banked turns. However, during free swimming, they segregate their head and body movements into short rotations, saccades and long translations. This saccadic movement strategy as revealed by Geurten et al.
