There was an error in J. Exp. Biol. (2021) 224, jeb242529 (doi:10.1242/jeb.242529).
An incorrect constant was used to transform water vapor measurements from millilitres (ml) to milligrams (mg). As a result, all measurements of water vapor (mg) reported should be increased by an order of magnitude (or, more precisely, a factor of 10.3362). This change does not affect the results or interpretation of the work, nor does it affect any other measurements. Both the online full-text and PDF versions of the paper have been corrected. The macro files on GitHub (https://github.com/jpcolella/peer_respo/blob/main/VO2-VCO2-H2O-120sec_per_cage.txt) have also been updated.
