In the first sentence of paragraph 10, the following reference was omitted:

Instead of citing Lefevre et al. (2017), the authors referred only to Lefevre (2016), which contains the data on which the argument in Lefevre et al. (2017) was based (see the caption to fig. 2 in Lefevre et al., 2017). The text should have read:
‘The recent critiques of the GOLT (e.g. Scheuffele et al., 2021; Lefevre et al., 2017, based on data from Lefevre, 2016) on whose assumptions Lonthair et al. (2024) base their argument, do not address these issues.’
Both the online full-text and PDF versions of the paper have been corrected. The authors apologise to the readers for this error.
