Gunda ulvae is a small triclad which lives in estuaries between tide marks. It is surrounded by a medium which normally varies from completely fresh water to undiluted sea water: to either of these extremes the worm may be exposed for several hours at each tide. An account of its environment has been given in the previous paper (Pantin, 1931). The worms survive many months in sea water in an aquarium, but will not survive indefinitely in fresh water.
