ABSTRACT
The blood pressure responses of representatives of various vertebrate classes to pitocin and pitressin have been recorded.
No relationships between phyletic position and the type of responses exhibited to pitocin and pitressin were observed.
Tolerance is developed to serial doses of pitocin and pitressin in both cold blooded and warm blooded vertebrates.
