A paper by Mr, Farrants on Mr. Peters’ Writing Machine was read (Transactions, vol. iii. p. 55).

A paper by Mr. Furze on the Illumination of Objects by Polarized Light was read (Transactions, vol. iii. p. 63).

The President made some remarks on the Structure of the Animal of the Foraniiniferæ.
