This collection showcases papers initially reviewed by Review Commons, the platform for high-quality journal-independent peer review, and then published by Development, Journal of Cell Science, Disease Models & Mechanisms or Biology Open. Review Commons aims to accelerate scientific publishing by improving transparency and efficiency, and focusing on scientific evaluation. It facilitates author-directed submission of refereed preprints to affiliate journals.
