ABSTRACT
Two major facts have been established in cytological studies of cell differentia-tion in the rudiments of ganglia from the moment of their formation:
In early embryogenesis there is a divergent differentiation of the originally uniform cells into neuroblastic and spongioblastic series.
At later stages of embryogenesis there occurs a separation of chromaffino-blasts from the elements of the spongioblastic series.
