Transitions in development

In this series of interviews, we feature principal investigators (PIs) within the first five or so years of establishing their own research group. Through these conversations, we aim to illustrate that there is not a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to securing an independent position and setting up a research programme. By discussing the challenges and difficulties new PIs have met and overcome, as well as highlighting the best moments, we hope to offer encouragement to other ECRs and to stimulate discussion around the career path of a developmental biologist.
