Two Vascular plant One-Zinc finger (VOZ) transcription factors have a redundant function in flowering. Loss of both VOZs (VOZ1 and VOZ2) delays flowering. This late-flowering phenotype is complemented by introducing one of the VOZs into the double mutant. The image shows wild-type Arabidopsis (left) and a double mutant of VOZs (middle), which shows delayed flowering. The double mutant that was complemented with one of the VOZs (VOZ2) (right) shows a flowering phenotype that is similar to that of the wild type. See the article by Celesnik, Reddy et al.
