SMRTER, a transcriptional corepressor of ecdysone receptor, inhibits the expression of Tramtrack 69, an ecdysone target gene product, in ovarian follicle cells. The image shows a stage 10A mosaic egg chamber containing Smrter mutant clones that were immunostained with an antibody against Tramtrack 69 (red). Smrter mutant follicle cells are marked by the absence of GFP signal. See the article by Heck et al. (doi: 10.1242/bio.2012047).
